Booking a Service

Orbas Services makes scheduling a vetted professional straightforward. Follow these four steps to lock in your appointment with confidence.

1. Select the Service

Navigate to Services on the top bar or tap Categories in the app. Browse by category, search by keyword, or jump straight to a bundled package such as Electrical Wiring & Installation. Open a service card to review its description, base price, and recent provider ratings.

2. Choose Date & Time

Press Book Now and either:

  • Pick a Custom date & time from the calendar picker, or

  • Choose As per provider time‑slot to let the system suggest the next available opening.

If you have more than one saved address, confirm the correct service location or tap Add new address to create one on the fly.

3. Select Your Serviceman (or Auto‑Match)

After scheduling, you can:

  • Tap Choose Serviceman to review available professionals—sorted by rating, distance, and response time; or

  • Toggle Let the app choose to let Orbas Auto‑Match assign the best‑fit verified provider.

Need extra hands? Adjust the Required persons field (e.g., set 2 for a large electrical job).

4. Review & Pay

A concise summary shows:

  • Subtotal (service price)

  • Tax and platform fee

  • Any selected add‑ons

Enter a promo code if you have one, then choose a payment method—wallet balance, debit/credit card, PayPal, or cash (where enabled). Press Proceed to checkout to confirm.

After Checkout

  • You’ll see an on‑screen confirmation and receive an email receipt.

  • Track status under My Bookings—pending, confirmed, in‑progress, or completed.

  • Need changes? Open the booking and tap Modify (free up to the provider’s cancellation window).

Tips for a Smooth Experience

  • Leave a brief Custom message for special instructions (e.g., "Please ring the side doorbell").

  • Add multiple services to your cart before paying to avoid repeat transactions.

  • Look for the Lightning badge if you need same‑day arrival (guaranteed within two hours).
